Decided to have a little fun this morning... nothing spectacular, I was just framing shots for a video I'm working on and decided to record the coffee-making process while I was at it.
Here it is!
This video was several months in the works, most of that time being brainstorming and writing and re-writing. Yesterday we finally shot the video and I did the rough edit. Today I worked on the audio and made the final edit.
So, this is it: what it feels like (for some of us anyway) to have writer's block.
Landon and I have had a video series idea in mind for a while now, and finally we decided to go ahead and shoot the first episode this afternoon. We finished filming in under three hours and the rough edit was finished after another two hours of work. I'm learning just how important organization is while shooting a video - even a short film like this!
The video series is about what it's like to be an author, with the first episode focusing on writer's block. Hopefully there will be more episodes to come.
Just finished storyboarding my next video project. If you can figure out what the video is from the storyboard, let me know in the comments - if not, you'll have to wait until I decide to release more details!
I spent the last week in Park Rapids, MN, at the Midwestern Christian Filmmakers Academy! Over the course of the week, the other students and I were Production Assistants on a promotional video for a high ropes challenge course in the area. The last two days, we became department heads and put together our own commercial for a fake brand of sunglasses. It was an awesome time and I learned a LOT from all the amazing teachers!

I'm a North Dakota girl and have a crazy amount of hobbies, including but not limited to writing, theology, biking, politics, music, and film, all of which I'm sure I will post about at some time or another on this blog.
